You should clean your mouth with Listerine or another type of antiseptic mouthwash after every time you put food or any liquid other than water in your mouth. You should also wash your mouth with a diluted hydrogen peroxide solution (50% water, 50% hydrogen peroxide) every morning and every evening. DO NOT SWALLOW THIS MIXTURE. It may not kill you, but it is an extremely powerful laxative.

I'm not sure when this info was put together, but Listerine and Hydrogen Peroxide treatments are typically not recommended by professionals. I've been piercing professionally for 7 years. The continual use of these products can actually damage tissue growth, retarding the healing time. A salt water mixture of 1/4 tsp sea salt + 8oz warm water-well mixed is a gentler, more effective way to rinse your mouth out. Please check your facts better-recommendations like this could spell disaster for piercings.
