January 27, 2006, Newsletter Issue #2: Cleaning Silver Earrings

Tip of the Week

Combine one part (2 oz.) cleaning detergent, one part dishwashing liquid, and one part ammonia in an eight ounce jar. Fill the remainder of the container with water. Shake the solution thoroughly (with the lid on, of course) and then heat it slightly. Put your unique earrings into the jar and then let it all sit for about ten minutes. Take out the silver, rinse it with water, and then dry it with a soft cloth.
