Drinking after Tongue Piercing
Drinking alcohol after a tongue piercing is a no-no. Some research states it's ok to drink a low alcohol content beverage like beer, but it's better to not drink at all for the first week or so, because when you're drunk, your tongue is not nearly as coordinated as sober. You might be more likely to bite the piercing and crack a tooth, or just cause the piercing to hurt and bleed. Smoking can also cause problems in the early (and late) days of your tongue piercing, as it slows healing. It will take about 2 weeks for the piercing to become comfortable, but about 6 months for it to heal fully.
