Giving the Right Necklace

If you're stuck on a good gift idea, why not consider handmade jewelry like a necklace or pendant? Here's a quick and easy way to select the right necklace for your friend of family member.

Petite: Small build equals a small necklace. Find a choker or pendant that sits no lower than the collarbone. Petite people also look the best in more delicate pendants.

Average: People of average height (5'5” or so) can get away with wearing pretty much any length of necklace, from chokers to long pieces that even dip below the waist.

Tall: Anyone over 5'7” can be considered for this category. While long chains and necklaces work well, stay away from items that are too chunky as they can add extra bulk to your gift recipient's frame.

If you're choosing handmade pieces that feature exceptional designs, make sure they don't get lost on the wearer's frame. Keep the central focus of the piece at collarbone level or just beneath.
