December 26, 2008, Newsletter Issue #149: Cleaning an Ear Piercing

Tip of the Week

You should use a non-iodine based antiseptic cleaning solution for the first two weeks after getting your ear pierced. Clean your ears with warm water if you don't have an antiseptic cleaning solution. You can also use mild soap, but ensure that you rinse all of the soap off the ear and the jewelry. Any residual soap will act as an irritant. Finally, dry your ears gently.
